Melanie’s 40th Birthday Weekender

After a recommendation from a friend, Melanie chose Taste Ibiza to plan her 40th birthday weekender in Ibiza. Melanie was celebrating with 30 of her nearest and dearest friends and family and we were honoured to piece together a celebration to remember. Read below for the details of this unforgettable event, across 3 days.

Accommodation

Melanie chose the luxury hotel Destino as the base for their stay. Melanie and her husband selected the Superior Suite room, which with only two of these suites on-site, this is as exclusive as it gets. Views of Dalt Villa and Formentera are the backdrop for the garden and private pool area of the Superior Suites. Melanie utilised the garden by throwing her welcome drinks reception right there on her own doorstep.

"Welcome To Ibiza" drinks reception

The first event on the agenda was to welcome Melanie and her guests to the Island. We worked with the Destino team to create a sunset welcome drinks reception in the garden of Melanie’s suite. All of her guests arrived to be greeted with an ice cold glass of Champagne. Canapés circulated throughout the evening as the sun set and the Ibizan sky turned shades of orange and red. The group were serenaded by an acoustic singer and guitarist and entertained by a close up magician who delighted Melanies guests with his one on one shows. This welcome drinks was a fantastic way for Melanie to be able to greet her guests and spend some time catching up before the full celebrations began. A welcome drinks reception is also a great way for guests to get to know each other- to break the ice so that the fun can begin.

The drinks reception ended at midnight and some of Melanie’s guests decided to head to Pacha nightclub to continue their evening. We arranged private transport to escort the guests from the hotel to the VIP door of Pacha, where one of the Taste Ibiza team was waiting to take them to their VIP table.

Blue Marlin Beach Club

The brief for the Saturday celebrations went something like this: Sunshine. Cocktails. Music. Sushi. Fun. Fun and more fun. So where better than the famous Blue Marlin Ibiza? We arranged for the group to take over the 2 Perrier Jouet Luxury Cabanas. These shaded day beds are just to the side of the dance floor area, with their very own roped off wooden decking space. The cabanas are perfectly located for dancing and enjoying the music and they have enough room for large groups. The VIP waiters took great care of the group and when they arrived Melanie had pre ordered Rosé and Champagne which was ready to pop. Melanie then selected a range of sushi and snacks for her guests to keep them going all night. When the outside party ended at midnight, Melanie and her guests headed out to the already waiting private luxury minibuses that we had arranged to take them back to Destino to get ready for their night out at world renowned Pacha.

VIP Table at Pacha Nightclub

Pacha nightclub is probably one of the most well known clubbing brands in the world! For a memorable party, Pacha is simply a “must – have” on the top of the list! Melanie booked a hosted VIP service with us which means that we manage the VIP table with Pacha to ensure it is in the best location with the best views of the dance floor and DJ. One of the Taste Ibiza hosts was there to greet Melanie on arrival and take her directly to their VIP table without queuing. The host introduced Melanie to their personal server who would look after them for the remainder of the night. Melanie danced the night away to the Pure Pacha DJ’s and was taken home to Destino at the end of the evening by their personal driver.

Unforgettable Moment

While taking a breather from the dance floor in the Pacha VIP garden, Melanie was enjoying a cocktail at the bar with one of her girlfriends. They recognised the man sitting next to them and were trying to place where they knew him from. After a moment or two, it clicked- he was the one and only David Guetta! Not being one to let an opportunity to pass her by, Melanie said hello. After a few introductions and some conversation, Melanie and David shared a tequila shot, before both going their separate ways. Melanie ran back to tell her friends back at her table, who couldn’t believe her luck!

The day after the night before!

After a hangover busting breakfast at Destino, Melanie and co boarded their minibus and headed to San Antonio. It was here that they boarded the Golondrina. A traditional wooden boat with a modern twist. The Golondrina is perfect for big groups and has an on board bar and sound system, all ready for the “hair of the dog” bloody mary’s. The perfect send off to any celebration.

What did Melanie think?

‘I want to go back and do it all again. I wouldn’t change a single thing! From meeting Roy and Juliette I felt instantly confident with their suggestions and knew that they understood me and my whole party. My 40th was all about having fun, celebrating happiness with our longstanding friends and family and they both managed to intergrate all ages perfectly. We had the best VIP treatment from beginning to end. I didn’t expect to feel so special but I know that with the services of TasteIbiza that’s exactly what they produced. A 3 day party was a true legendary experience, a total luxurious and exciting time from beginning to end. Every person who attended the weekend was on a complete high of enjoyment for the forthcoming week. The whole team went beyond any other planner services I have encountered which really gave me the sense of true personal attendance and care. I have never experienced anything so personal and perfect for something like this before. I cannot wait to return to the island to use their services!
Every detail was catered for, the DJ Tom on our sunset boat cruise was just the best suggestion and the best DJ, the food and the drinks , the make up and hair stylist, were perfectly handled by Juliette. The Blue Marlin experience, which lets face it, many people come to the island for, what simply a dream and planned out exactly as Roy told me it would. Louise was amazing and helped out to meet guest on the Friday night and was such an asset to our whole group on Saturday!
I cannot wait to get back to the island. I know that from now on I will always contact Taste Ibiza for any arrangements or future parties I plan. The company is a true personal and professional service and a huge credit to the island.
