Countryside Chic

Seasoned Ibiza revellers, Martin & Alex selected our beautiful Island as the destination for their wedding. They opted for a stunning countryside villa, flanked in Bourganvillia and stunning scenery to host their family & friends for their dream wedding. The venue played host to the entire days celebrations, which was jam packed with music including a sunset saxophone and percussion performance for that added Ibiza magic.

Style

One of the key elements to this couple was the music. Music is what brought them to Ibiza where they began their journey together. Music was why they kept coming back, and so it was imperative to have the perfect sound track to each part of their day. They choose a traditional Ibicencan villa with bright and colourful surroundings. This theme continued through the wedding from the decorations to the bridesmaid dresses. Fun, joyous and energetic.

Venue

Alex and Martin opted for a beautiful farmhouse called Casa Vincente Located 10 minutes from the town of Santa Eulalia, it is perfectly located for guests to stay near by. The house itself has 7 bedrooms and also a sister villa next door with 7 bedrooms. The front of the house is beautifully covered with Bourganvillia and the grounds of the house and pool area are surrounded by gardens and fields- simply stunning. The villa has a pool house which is perfect for moving the party indoors after midnight.

Ceremony

Alex and Martin wanted to introduce their guests to a true taste of Ibiza by using a celebrant familiar with the myths and legends surrounding Ibiza. Melchior Arnold was their celebrant of choice. Melchior conducts a spiritual ceremony including sand pouring traditions and blessings. The ceremony is filled with references to nature, and the island of Ibiza and key features such as Es Vedra and the Goddess Tanit.

The ceremony took place in front of the house with the beautiful backdrop of the bourganvilia. The Spanish guitarist, Paco welcomed the guests as they arrived and took their seats. He then serenaded Alex when she walked down the aisle, creating a truly traditional Ibizencan atmosphere.

Catering

Wanting their guests to get a complete experience, Alex and Martin opted for a BBQ chef with “show cooking” They wanted to immerse their guests completely with everything that they love about Ibiza- and that includes the food! They chose one of our favourite BBQ chefs to create a buffet style menu for their guests. This included fresh and in season salads, steak and lamb with delicious fruits cheesecakes and petit fours for desert. The bar created personalised cocktails and served the guests for the entire event. The final touch to desert was an expresso martini for each guest.

The Party

As the sun began to set and dusk approached, the DJ began to play. Tom Grimes was their DJ of choice (one of our most popular wedding DJ’s) He was accompanied by a saxophonist and a percussionist to create the sound that is all to familiar to any Ibiza party goer. Everyone was immediately up on their feet and the party began. At midnight the guests moved into the pool house, which had been transformed into a club, including dancefloor, disco lights and decorations.

The Entertainment

Throughout the day, various musicians were chosen to create different atmospheres for the guests. They were greeted by Paco, the Spanish Guitarist who played for the welcome drinks and ceremony. This introduced the guests to what was to come and really set the scene for the Ibiza wedding.

For the post ceremony drinks reception, Alex and Martin wanted to create more of a laid back cool vibe. They opted for female vocal and strings duo Oh La La. These girls take classic well known pop and rnb songs and give them an Oh La La make over. Perfect for poolside drinks.

Then the final touch was the party entertainment. They decided on the classic match of Sax and Bongos which is so connected and well known to Ibiza dance floors.

After the wedding

The next day Alex Martin and their friends and family who also stayed at the villa were nursed back to life in the way of a private brunch chef creating Bloody Mary’s and Eggs Benedict. After the heavy night of drinking, this was exactly what they needed to get them back on their feet and ready for round two, which lay ahead of them.

Round 2 was in fact a day at the famous and ever popular Yemanja and Blue Marlin. we had pre booked an exclusive area of Yemanja where they enjoyed a Paella lunch and a generous serving of Cava Sangria. After lunch they made their way next door to Blue Marlin where they lounged the afternoon away on some VIP beds.

After a day celebrating (again) they wanted to finish the weekend off in style, by heading over to their all time favourite club- Pacha. Alex even donned her wedding gown for a second time to head to their VIP table at the club. Now that’s a way to celebrate!
