Georgie & Guy tied the knot in true laid back Ibizan style. For some, the ideal wedding would consist of extravagance and formal luxury from start to finish. But for some couples the sheer romance lies in the simplicity and nostalgia of a relaxed old school Ibiza wedding. That is exactly how Georgie & Guy felt. They opted for a ceremony by the sea, with traditional Spanish Paella, followed by a party to remember at their holiday villa with only their very closest inner circle. Boho beach
Style
Bohemian beach vibes followed by a real Ibiza style party! It was important that the fun, music loving couples personalities were reflected in every part of their wedding. They had selected only their closest circle of friends & family to join them in what was to be a classic Ibiza wedding. They wanted the bohemian Ibiza spirit to be woven throughout the whole event which would give them an opportunity to show off all of their favourite parts of Ibiza & why they chose it for their special day.
Venue
Cesars Chiringuito S’Agamassa. This quaint beach restaurant is just outside Santa Eulalia and has beautiful views across the bay and out onto the Mediterranean Sea. Georgie & Guy chose this venue for its rustic charm and famous Paella.
After the meal, Georgie, Guy and their guests headed back via private minibuses to their holiday villa. The villa had a fantastic outdoor space with plenty of room for dancing. The couple opted to hire a Maharaja tent to provide a shaded area for the DJ and dancing right next to the idealistic swimming pool.
Ceremony
An understated yet beautiful archway set the scene for Georgie and Guys wedding ceremony. They said “I do” with the stunning backdrop of the blue waters of S’Agamassa beach. The ceremony saw all of the guests gathered together on white benches on the beach just outside Cesars Chiringuito. The arch itself was dressed with rich green palm leaves which gave a beautiful centre point to the wedding ceremony.
Catering
Cesars Chiringuito is famous for its traditional Paella. Georgie & Guy were lucky enough to have Cesar himself cook the paella for them and their guests. They opted for a traditional fish paella, a vegetarian paella with tapas sides of padron peppers, chorizo & (of course) pan y aioli. This classic Spanish menu was the perfect accompaniment to the backdrop of the clear blue seas & Balearic sun. Teamed with jugs of ice cold sangria this menu set the perfect tone for Georgie & Guys Boho wedding celebrations.
The Party
Whilst Georgie & Guy were finishing off the last jugs of sangria, the Taste Ibiza team were hard at work setting up their holiday villa ready for their return. As they had already been staying in the villa, our task was to make it feel like a new venue for their wedding- somewhere different to the villa they left behind that morning. We set up a beautiful Maharajah tent next to the swimming pool in the garden of the villa. The tent was home to full DJ setup and sound equipment which was accompanied by a lighting package to complete the party ambience. Festoon lights were draped across the pool area and fairy lights decorated all the trees in the garden.
The DJ of choice was DJ Tom Grimes, one of our personal favourites. Tom always brings the best vibe to any wedding he plays at and knows exactly how to get the guests dancing. In keeping with the relaxed theme of this wedding, the late night snack arrived in the form of delicious fresh pizzas from one of the best take outs on the island.
Unforgettable Moment
After a day spent in the sunshine drinking sangria at Cesars Chiringuito, there was one thing on everyones mind…..the pool! After a cocktail or two the whole of the grooms party decided to jump in the pool. We were there waiting with dry towels for when they finally got out.
After the wedding
What better way to blow away the cobwebs and fuzzy heads than a day out at sea? Georgie & Guy spent the next day aboard the Golondrina. A traditional wooden boat with a modern twist. The Golondrina is perfect for big groups and has an on board bar and sound system, all ready for the “hair of the dog” bloody mary’s. The perfect send off to any wedding.

“Where do I start…We have had the pleasure of working with Roy, Juliette and Louise from Taste Ibiza for the last year whilst trying to plan our wedding out in Ibiza! They have been an absolute dream to work with, nothing is ever too much, I ask a question and within a few hours they have come back to me with all the answers, options, costs and more! I must have driven them mad with all the back and forth, however they remain super professional and got to know our tastes better than we know ourselves. They supported with everything from benches and lanterns to transport, villas, table bookings, tents, DJ, boats the list is endless and all was to the highest standard.
It has been great to get to know them all on visits out to the island, the actual day would not have been the same had Louise not been there by my side, she made everything run so smoothly. We would not have been able to do any of it without them, the day was perfect and seamless!
