Casa Cicada is an elegantly restored farmhouse conveniently located in the rural heart of the island, close to the village of Santa Gertrudis.
Contemporary interiors enliven and compliment this magnificent 600 year-old historic house. A truly unique and authentic property infused with history and Ibicenca bohemia.
The large pool, set in beautiful, mature gardens, looks over the olive trees to the distant mountains. There are so many options to bask in the sun or chill in the shade. If you’re entertaining guests, there are lovely areas for al-fresco dining and barbecues.
Adjacent to the patio you’ll find a charmingly renovated barn thats connected to a fully functional summer time kitchen and is another excellent area for entertaining guests.
Whether you’re enjoying the beautiful vista from the glorious pool, hiding yourself away in one of the secluded outdoor chill out areas, basking in the sun or snoozing in the shade, this is a playground for guests, tailor made for the perfect vacation.
Whether you want to get active or get relaxed, Las Cicadas has it all, indoors and outdoors.
Las Cicadas has 6 large bedrooms
Master Suite: opens onto its own salon and private terrace. Located in the oldest part of the house, with stonework dating back over 500 years, this is our largest room. Wooden ceilings and hardwood floors compliment the traditional “cal” white walls.
Room 2: a large twin room, with views out to the olive grove and gardens. This room is ideal for children or for anyone else that requires two single beds. The bathroom is shared with room 6.
Room 3: low wooden ceilings and a touch of the original stonework remind us of years gone by. Very comfy indeed!
Room 4: this is a large double room which can be made into a twin upon request. Retaining its original stonework, the room was used in centuries past as a stable. Now it is a secluded haven, separate from the main house, with a door opening onto a patio, just a few steps away from the pool. If it’s privacy you require, this is the room for you.
Room 5: a large double room which can be made into a twin upon request. This room, with its original stonework, was used in centuries past as stables for the farm animals. Separate from the main house, it provides more privacy than the interior rooms. The door opens out onto a small patio, just a few steps away from the pool.
Room 6: this very large double bedroom consists of two separate rooms and boasts a wooden olive press dating back to the 19th century. It connects to the main living room but has its own entrance from the central patio. The room shares a bathroom with Room #2.
