The Brief

There are few things that spur on employees at work more than a well considered incentive — if anything is going to get a team to work well together to attain their targets then the promise of a holiday in one of them. That’s why Lily Communications got in touch with us. Keen to reward their very best performing employees with a trip to the white isle, they tasked us with creating a schedule that showcased all Ibiza has to offer — in the process giving their staff members a well-earned taster of the most exclusive venues and activities available on the island.

The Itinerary

Lily Communications provided plenty of detail for their desired itinerary, which gave us plenty to work with, but we were also able to exercise our creativity thanks to decades’ worth of Ibiza experience. Knowing a central hotel location was required, we organised Mijgorn Ibiza Suites and Spa for the team to stay at. Situated in the heart of Playa d’en Bossa, and just a stone’s throw from the Ibiza’s famous superclubs, it put everyone at the heart of the action, allowing them the freedom to come and go as they pleased while still providing plenty of communal areas where everyone could congregate. For an up close, luxury look at the island’s nightlife, we also considered Destino Ibiza Resort in Cap Martinet and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, which both offer unparalleled clubbing access alongside a truly lavish experience.

Days were spent soaking up that everlasting Mediterranean sun, naturally, but one highlight was a day spent out at sea. We chartered a boat for the entire team and sent them off to the stunning island of Formentera, famous for its white sandy beaches and sparklingly clear waters. Stopping for snorkel and snack breaks along the way, lunch was spent being wined and dined at Beso Beach, one of the island’s best beach clubs, before they hopped back on board for an afternoon of exciting sea-based activities. Other favourite daytime moments included a day of champagne-popping at Blue Marlin, a renowned global beach club adored by the world’s jet-set. The team were treated to VIP beds and beachside fine dining, not to mention tunes provided by some of the biggest names in electronic music.

For lunch, we organised tables at El Chiringuito Es Cavallet, one of the most exclusive restaurants on the islands. With a spectacular seafront location and a menu bursting with heart, delicious fare, this has been many Ibiza insiders’ favourite for over a decade. Dinner meanwhile, was spent at Bambuddha, a deluxe restaurant loved by locals that specialises in Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine. Famed for its first rate cocktails and sultry vibe, this spot always delivers a night to remember. In contrast, another evening was spent at La Bodega in Ibiza town. Located directly below the majestic walls of Dalt Vila, this perennial pick doles out lashings of authentic tapas accompanied by a laid-back ambience and bucketfuls of charm.

At night, we scooped up the team in luxury VIP vehicles and delivered them to the door of the island’s superclubs. Pacha was an unequivocal hit, of course. Home to some of the world’s most widely revered DJs and with an unparalleled clubbing heritage, it’s a must visit for every discerning raver.

The Result

With a detailed brief and tons of insider knowledge we were able to organise a perfectly executed trip for each and every one of the Lily Communications team. Covering everything from the island’s most famed, luxurious spots to its more low-key, laid-back neighbours, the itinerary offered a broad sample of everything our beautiful island has to offer. And of course, since this was a trip designed to reward employees, there were suitable celebrations at every turn. It was an unforgettable holiday for everyone involved, one that’s sure to stick in the minds of employees as they return to their desks, keen to bag a coveted place on the next work trip.
